Differentiation from other City Platforms
Some city platforms like social networks are too broad that overwhelm citizens with excessive information about everything. On the other hand, some platforms are focused on narrow information like events, restaurant or business reviews and tourist. Narrow focused sites do not satisfy the diverse needs of enriched urban life. Most platforms have user generated content where quality of information and authenticity of the source cannot be assured.
Town-Ticks aims to achieve the right balance between narrow and broad. It ensures user privacy with no targeted Ads. People themselves chose what they want to see, down to specific business or specific thing from a business. Only urgent important City Government and City Chamber updates are pushed, in separate tabs. Moreover, all content comes from verified organizations and meant for their customers. Minimal moderation is hence needed.
